Kempinski Hotel Bahía is located between the charming fishing village of Estepona and the luxury and upbeat town of Marbella, only 50 min. away from Malaga and its airport. The hotel is located within two hours of most Andalusian cities, like Seville, Granada or Cordoba, and is just a short ferry ride away from Tangier, Morocco.

Madrid, the capital of Spain, with a population of 4 million people, is situated 613 km away from Marbella-Estepona, only 2.5 hours away by train.

Marbella-Estepona claims to have the best weather in Europe, with more than 320 sunny days per year, and it has a Mediterranean climate with soft variations in temperature.
Summer days normally start in late April, with the hottest temperatures – around 32°C (90°F) – reached in July and August. Winters are mild, with an average temperature between 10ºC (50°F) and 19ºC (66.2°F). Spring is considered the beginning of summer, and autumn the end, since both are very pleasant.

The official currency in Spain has been the Euro (€) since 1 January 2002. However, Kempinski Hotel Bahía is authorised to exchange the following currencies into euro (€) exclusively for staying guests:

Pound Sterling (GBP)
USA Dollar (USD)

Kindly note that exchange operations are subject to fluctuation and to a surcharge.

Spanish is the official language of Spain. However, as Marbella-Estepona is a cosmopolitan area, there are many expats speaking different languages, such as English, German, Russian, Swedish or Arabic, among others.

At the hotel, the team speaks Spanish, English, German, Portuguese and Russian.

Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world, so it is a good idea to start learning some basic words and phrases before starting your holidays in Spain. They are easy and helpful!
