Opening Hours

Below are some opening hours. Please note that they vary across the city and might change, especially during holidays and some occasions:

• Banks 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Sunday to Thursday
• Restaurants and Cafés 9:00 am – 12:00 midnight daily
• Bars and Clubs, Evening – 1:00 am daily, and some open till 3:00 am
• Souqs 9:00 am – 8:00 pm daily, and some might open till later hours

Photography 

It’s better to ask first before photographing people and objects inside shops. Photography is unauthorised in military and ‘strategic areas’, such as public buildings and locations near the borders, without prior approval from the particular authorities.

Time

Jordan is two hours ahead of GMT/UTC in winter and three hours ahead from April to September.
