Indulgence for all senses at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin

Berlin, 8 June, 2023 - Pleasure you can taste:
Enjoy the summer with all your senses: this is what the summer brunch, which is enjoyable in three different ways, offers all gourmets on the last Sunday of every month from 12:30 to 15:30 at Brasserie Quarré. All lovers of cold and warm breakfast & lunch delicacies can expect a culinary short vacation with exciting samples of the new menu at Brasserie Quarré at the Brandenburg Gate. Based on an idea by Felix Otte, Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, the successful 3-part concept of summer brunch complemented by art and music was created exclusively for the Adlon and is already creating great demand.,

"It is a very special pleasure for me to give guests a weekend experience with the summer brunch in this entertaining form, which will inspire on several levels and have lasting memory value long after their visit," says Felix Otte.

On 25 June, 30 July and 27 August, 2023, the experienced team led by kitchen director Stephan Eberhard, will present appetisers & desserts freshly prepared in front of the guests at several live cooking stations of the German-French inspired buffet, as well as main courses served at the table, for which it is worth sinning. Tartar of dry aged beef fillet with truffle, Brandenburg burrata with marinated tomatoes and pistachio crunch, bouillabaise with lobster roulade or Beelitz corn poulard breast with asparagus & morel cream are just some of the culinary highlights, which seduce to unrestrained pleasure and are still topped with refined desserts à la Crème Brûlée, grilled peach with honey thyme & vanilla foam, Baumkuchen with caramel or also vegan Kalamansi mousse with fresh strawberries.
The selection of these artisan dishes also represents an excerpt from the simultaneously redesigned menu, with which Brasserie Quarré aims to arouse the curiosity of its regulars as well as anyone who might become one after a first visit.

Art that you can see:
The pleasure of the visit begins with the eyes right in the entrance area of the Brasserie Quarré, because here starts the new, 6-month exhibition of versatile picture art by the Berlin artist Uwe Tabatt. The successful creative painter, whose objects have already found a much-appreciated, temporary artistic home in high-ranking, political institutions, has put together a selection of pictures especially for the Brasserie Quarré, which is highly worth seeing and incorporates the style and location of the Adlon. His connection to his homeland and love of good food are evident in many of his pictorial motifs featuring Berlin landmarks and a gastronomic reference, such as the capital city landmarks seen in a frameless giant bell pepper or the "city salad."

"Seeing my paintings in the stylish Adlon ambience and arousing guests' interest in regionally contemporary art, often presented with a twinkle in my eye, gives me great pleasure! My drive is to assemble various visual stimuli from pop art and futuristic realism or science fiction like a puzzle into a distinctive total work of art that surprises the viewer." Each of the 35 or so paintings will be available for purchase after the exhibition, either as originals (from EUR 2,800) or as prints (from EUR 120).

Culture you can hear:
In addition to the culinary and visual experience, the summer brunch at the Adlon also offers top-class pleasure for the ears, because all Sunday dates will be accompanied by jazz and swing sounds of the well-known The Swingin' Hermlins. Musicians from his ensemble, selected by band founder Andrej Hermlin, will perform in alternating small ensembles.

Andrej Hermlin has felt a close connection to the Hotel Adlon ever since its reopening in 1997: "I still fondly remember and am proud to have been part of the atmospheric festivities with my band on the occasion of the return of the legendary Adlon to its historic location. Moreover, the typical Adlon attributes such as excellence and quality are equally important to my band and me; we too always want to sound our best and present ourselves magnificently in the process!" For the passionate musician, the Grandhotel embodies the very special charm and elegance of 1920s Berlin, which is why it fits perfectly with the style of his music.

Professional childcare rounds out the family-friendly brunch experience. The price per person including champagne, soft drinks, red and white wine, tea or coffee is EUR 169. The amount is halved for children between the ages of six and twelve.
Reservations for the Brasserie Quarré are gladly accepted by e-mail: [email protected] or phone at 030 - 2261 1959.
