Guide Michelin 2021

Berlin, 5 March 2021 – The eagerly awaited “Guide Michelin 2021” has been published and has again awarded two coveted stars to Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer for the tenth time in a row. The Gault Millau restaurant guide, published in November 2020, had already awarded the gourmet restaurant an extraordinary 19 out of 20 points.

“We are overwhelmed,” says the overjoyed Hendrik Otto. “I would like to thank my kitchen team and the staff at Maître Oliver Kraft and Hans-Martin Konrad from the bottom of my heart. Both teams give me support and ensure that the kitchen and the service team work smoothly together. We are beyond proud that our performance has been recognised with these high ratings by the world’s two most influential gourmet guides. At the same time, of course, we are aware of the immense obligations that these recognitions bring with them, and are determined to continue to meet them.”

“Gault Millau 2021” sees Otto as an exceptional chef: “He is undoubtedly one of the best in Berlin. With the current menu, too, he impressed us with his dishes, which are as beautiful as they are sublime and, at the same time, always classically produced.” The awarded two stars by the “Michelin Guide” mean “Top cuisine – worth a detour!”

“My warmest congratulations go to Hendrik Otto and the entire team of Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer,” says Michael Sorgenfrey, Managing Director of Hotel Adlon Kempinski. “I am incredibly proud of my employees and their distinguished performance. I am aware of how much time, motivation and commitment they have invested despite the extraordinary circumstances of the past many months, and we all hope they will soon be able to demonstrate their culinary expertise again.”

The awarding of a third Michelin star and 19 points from Gault Millau mark an impressive high point in Hendrik Otto’s career. In addition, GUSTO Germany has been honouring the performance of the kitchen team since 2016 with the maximum rating of ten “pans” plus a bonus “arrow”, and the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer was moved up from 26th to 14th place on www.Restaurant-Ranglisten.de in 2021. Hendrik Otto has been heading the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer since April 2010.
