Dog Policy & Guidelines

We are delighted to welcome you and your loyal four-legged companion to Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. To ensure a harmonious, safe and memorable stay for you, your pet and all our guests, we kindly ask that you observe the following guidelines.

Registration & Warm Welcome

To help us prepare for your arrival, we kindly request your cooperation prior to check-in.

• Dogs Only: We are pleased to welcome dogs exclusively. Unfortunately, other animal species cannot be accommodated.
• Advance Notice: Please inform us in advance if your dog will be accompanying you. All pets require prior confirmation from the hotel to ensure appropriate arrangements can be made. 
• Right of Refusal: The hotel reserves the right to decline pet accommodation under exceptional circumstances.

Size & Weight Guidelines

To maintain the comfort of our guest rooms and ensure adequate space for your pet, the following guidelines apply.

• Occupancy: A maximum of one dog is permitted per guest room.
• Weight & Height: Our property is best suited for dogs weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and with a shoulder height of up to 50 cm (20 inches).
• Exceptions: Should your dog exceed these measurements, please contact us in advance. Exceptions may be considered upon request.

Fees & Additional Charges

Accommodating a pet requires specialised maintenance and enhanced housekeeping services, which are covered by a transparent flat rate.

• Pet Fee: A flat fee of EUR 150 per stay will be applied to cover additional cleaning requirements.
• Special Cleaning & Damages: In the event of excessive soiling or damage to hotel property, additional charges for deep cleaning, repairs or potential loss of room revenue may be applied separately.

Areas Reserved for Our Human Guests

For the comfort and wellbeing of all visitors, certain areas of the hotel remain exclusively reserved for our human guests. Dogs are not permitted in the following areas:

• All restaurants, bars and lounges
• The entire spa, wellness and pool facilities
• Fitness and training areas

Please note: The hotel reserves the right to restrict access to additional areas if deemed necessary.

Supervision & Consideration

A seamless and enjoyable stay for all guests relies on the continuous care and supervision of your pet.

• Leash Policy: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when in public areas and corridors of the hotel.
• Companionship: Pets must not be left unattended in guest rooms at any time.
• Respecting Others: As the owner, you are responsible for ensuring that your dog does not disturb or endanger other guests or hotel employees. Noise, including barking, should be kept to a minimum.
• Cleanliness: Should an accident occur, we kindly ask that it be cleaned up immediately. If assistance from our housekeeping team is required, the associated cleaning costs will be charged to your account.

Responsibility & Harmonious Stay

As a pet owner, you assume full responsibility for your dog's behaviour and actions throughout your stay.

• Liability: The dog owner assumes full liability for any property damage, personal injury, financial loss or consequential damages caused by the pet.
• Hotel Liability Waiver: The hotel accepts no liability for the animal, including any illness, injury or loss.
• Right of Termination: Should a pet significantly disrupt the comfort or experience of other guests, the hotel reserves the right to terminate the dog’s accommodation immediately.

Service and Guide Dogs

Special provisions naturally apply to animals that perform essential medical or assistance functions.

• Exemptions: Certified service and guide dogs are exempt from the aforementioned restrictions and fees.
• Documentation: We kindly request that appropriate official documentation be provided during the booking process.
