SHANGHAI, CHINA (1 September 2022) – Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai has its grand opening of the Albero Spanish restaurant on 22 September 2022, featuring an array of traditional and innovative dishes using fresh ingredients that include seafood, making it an ideal venue for a family or a friendly gathering for lunch or dinner.
“Both China and Spain have rich traditional food cultures, and Spanish food is deeply loved by consumers. The Albero Spanish restaurant has this time introduced a new kind of authentic Spanish food, hoping to integrate exotic elements with the elegant and mysterious atmosphere of the restaurant to create a pure Spanish dining experience for diners,” said Mr Andre, the hotel’s executive chef.
Ingenuity and quality
The chef is the person to communicate with local Chinese diners and explain the inspiration of the restaurant and its menu. The Albero Spanish restaurant has a professional chef and chef’s team to present you with authentic Spanish food that combines fresh and seasonal elements. The raw materials are carefully selected to ensure superior quality and taste.
The spirit of cuisine
The dishes are rich and varied, fresh and refreshing, and full of innovation. The classic cuisine with local characteristics, from the set meal to the tapas, not only ensures the authentic Spanish flavour of the food produced by the restaurant, but also integrates more creative cooking inspiration of local ingredients and flavours to create a unique tastebud experience.
Here, you can taste authentic Spanish delicacies: classic Spanish seafood rice, Iberian ham, various tapas and famous Basque desserts. While tasting delicious food, diners can not only savour the familiar and unfamiliar foreign delicacies on the Sunshine Coast of Europe, but also communicate and interact with the chef to understand the food culture in China and the West.
Our signature Spanish restaurant, Albero serves up vibrant and creative Spanish dishes using the freshest seasonal ingredients, bringing you an authentic experience of Europe’s most passionate country. Located on floor 2 of the hotel, the restaurant is just a stone’s throw away from the Huangpu River and in the heart of Shanghai’s bustling Lujiazui Financial District. The unique dining room is decorated in the style of an Andalusian red-tiled house – with the same type of stone that lines many Spanish bullrings. Mosaic tiles adorn the walls and floors in true Spanish style.
