Kempinski Hotels Launches ‘Seven Cities, Seven Views’ Executive Lounge Journey

Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai - BarLounge

Shanghai, 22 September – Kempinski Hotels proudly announces the launch of the ‘Seven Cities, Seven Views’ Executive Lounge Journey across Greater China, taking place from 22 September to 22 October 2025. This exclusive experience elevates the executive lounge offering, seamlessly blending regional flavours with premium service in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Xiamen, Nanjing and Jinan. As a highlight of the ‘Savour the Moment’ series, this journey invites guests to explore the distinct culinary and cultural heritage of each city through thoughtfully crafted beverages and an immersive ambience.

In addition to classic executive floor privileges, guests will enjoy daytime speciality coffee and cold-brew tea creations, each inspired by local ingredients and meticulously prepared to deliver a refreshing, memorable experience.

At Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai, the journey unfolds across two dayparts: daytime lounge service and evening Happy Hour, under the theme ‘Local Taste Plus Curated Selections’. From 11:30 to 16:30, guests can savour the signature Velvety Cinnamon Latte, crafted with freshly ground premium coffee and syrup infused with the nostalgic sweetness of White Rabbit candy. This exquisite blend offers rich coffee undertones, a velvety texture and an enchanting aroma, perfect for business discussions or an afternoon reprieve.

From 17:30 to 20:30, the Happy Culture Hour introduces complimentary tastings of limited-edition cocktails, inspired by and sourced from the seven participating cities. Each cocktail pays homage to its origins through indigenous ingredients and expert craftsmanship, showcasing Kempinski’s dedication to cultural authenticity and creative mixology.

Signature Cocktails Inspired by Seven Cities

  • Shanghai “Nong Hao” Special: A vibrant blend of herbal gin and mellow yellow wine, brightened with lime and pineapple, and finished with rosemary, balancing tropical flair with earthy sophistication.
  • Beijing “Nin Hao” Special: Jasmine tea lends its aromatic depth, balanced with refined mixology, a toast to Beijing’s rich heritage and modern spirit.
  • Hangzhou “Jia Jia” Special: Fermented rice wine forms the base, recalling Fuyi Granary’s history. Black pepper and nori evoke misty Hangshou Bay, while citrus and grape notes celebrate the season.
  • Chengdu “Ba Shi” Special: Sichuan pepper–infused vodka awakens the senses, mellowed by cranberry and pineapple for a lingering, complex finish.
  • Xiamen “Li He” Special: The selected Tieguanyin tea from Anxi collides with the herbal sharpness of gin. Its elegance and richness complement each other, delicately interpreting the Minnan culture.
  • Nanjing “Lai Si” Special: Cold-brew Yuhua tea blends with herbal gin, brightened by lemon and crowned with a light foam.
  • Jinan “Si R” Special: Pingyin rose blossoms steeped in white rum reveal honeyed floral notes and a spirited finish, an elixir reminiscent of spring dew.

Three of these distinctive cocktails will be available daily on rotation, paired with locally inspired canapés, allowing guests to embark on a sensory journey across China without leaving the lounge.

To further enhance the experience, an exclusive “Executive Lounge Package” is available. The offer includes overnight accommodation in an Executive City View Room, breakfast for two, and full executive lounge access. Ideal for business travellers seeking a tranquil setting or families desiring a premium getaway, the package combines flexibility with elevated value.

The executive lounge remains a testament to Kempinski Hotels’ dedication to personalised service and refined hospitality. ‘This journey not only introduces the Velvety Cinnamon Latte during daytime service – uniting nostalgic sweetness with premium coffee craftsmanship – but also brings together seven sister hotels across China in a celebration of culture through mixology. From the gentle tones of Shanghainese to the warm cadence of Cantonese, each cocktail reflects the soul of its city. With three available each day, we invite our guests to appreciate each destination, one glass at a time,’ said Mark Kirk, General Manager.
