St. Moritz Welcomes an Unprecedented Assembly of 10 Three-Star Chefs – A Culinary First! 

From 29 January to 3 February 2024, St. Moritz will be transformed into a gastronomic haven, celebrating the 30th edition of the St. Moritz Gourmet Festival, Switzerland's most esteemed culinary event. For three decades, this festival has been a highlight in the culinary calendar, annually attracting gourmands from across the globe. It features a remarkable array of international guest chefs showcasing their expertise in Engadine. The 2024 milestone, themed “30 Years of Culinary Excellence in Engadine – A Constellation of Culinary Stars”, promises to be an extraordinary and unparalleled extravaganza. 

In honour of its 30th anniversary, the festival will host a remarkable ensemble of 10 Michelin-starred chefs with three Michelin Stars each, positioning it as a pinnacle event for culinary enthusiasts in St. Moritz.

3 Michelin Star Chef Tristin Farmer

Tristin Farmer, a Scottish chef, has always been driven by a passion for haute cuisine. After honing his skills at the Peat Inn and working under Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles Hotel's two-star Michelin restaurant, Farmer's journey took him to London. There, he joined Gordon Ramsay at Claridges and rapidly ascended to key positions at Petrus, contributing to its Michelin star achievement. As senior sous chef at the acclaimed three-Michelin-star Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, he continued to excel. His leadership as head chef at Maze by Gordon Ramsay and his significant role in The Social Company's establishments, including pre-opening Aberdeen Street Social in Hong Kong, further established his culinary prowess. His tenure as head chef at Marina Social in Dubai earned him the title "Middle East Chef of the Year" in 2016 and 2017. From 2018 to January 2024, Farmer led Zén in Singapore as part of the Frantzén Group, earning two Michelin stars in its first year and a third in 2021, making him the second Scottish chef to achieve three Michelin stars, following Gordon Ramsay.
 

Executive Sous Chef Jonas Starkowski

With a distinguished 12-year tenure in premium cuisine, Jonas Starkowski epitomises the pinnacle of fine dining and starred gastronomy. His culinary odyssey, beginning at the Michelin-starred Villa am See, led him through various roles at Kempinski hotels, culminating in Zermatt, where his contributions were instrumental in earning a Michelin star. Since 2022, Sous Chef Jonas has been a cornerstone of the culinary team at the Grand Hotel des Bains St. Moritz, swiftly advancing from sous chef to executive sous chef. He consistently delivers honest, seasonal and regional dishes with a Mediterranean and French twist, underpinned by a firm belief in the power of teamwork.
