At Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski, we believe in engaging our guests in a world of beauty and creativity. In order to further enhance the ambience in our lobby and restaurants, we have launched an in-house artist programme, where talented painters and artists showcase their captivating masterpieces throughout the premises.
Born on 1st August 1989 in Esslingen am Neckar, Germany, Benjamin Rayher has been captivated by his passion for art from an early age.
2002 – 2009: Studied nude drawing at the Frankfurter Malakademie under the guidance of Günter Maniewski.
2005: Discovered and mentored by renowned art professor Martin Goppelsröder.
2008: Became the youngest participant in the history of the School of Visual Arts (SVA), New York, attending their prestigious summer courses – an institution with famous alumni like Keith Haring.
2009: Invited by Prof. Markus Lüpertz, a celebrated painter and sculptor, to collaborate and train in his studio.
2011: Received his first commissions from an Indian art collector met during his time in New York.
2013: Personally mentored by world-renowned photographer Dieter Blum, celebrated for his iconic Marlboro Cowboy series.
2010 – 2016: Studied at the renowned Art Academy Düsseldorf under the mentorship of Prof. Siegfried Anzinger.
Driven by a lifelong passion for art, Benjamin Rayher has dedicated his early years to studying the masterpieces of the world’s greatest artists. He has explored celebrated museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, Frick Collection, Vatican Museums, Tate Museum, and Prado.
Inspired by the techniques of the old masters, Rayher combines classical influences with innovative approaches to craft his distinctive artistic style. His work reflects a rich diversity of materials and techniques, with every detail meticulously executed to the highest standard.
Benjamin Rayher creates art that bridges the timeless elegance of tradition with bold contemporary expression, offering a unique perspective in the world of modern art.
