The Government of Malta has introduced an Environmental Contribution on stays at all types of accommodation that begin on or after June 1, 2016. The main objective of this Environmental Contribution is to improve quality along the tourism value chain. In fact, all revenue generated from this initiative will be directed solely and exclusively to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands.

The contribution is payable by all tourists who are 18 years or older on the day of arrival.

It amounts to €0.50c per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands at any type of accommodation.

The contribution is capped at a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay. This applies also to twin-centre stays in Malta and Gozo.

Gozo is the second largest island in the Maltese archipelago in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea. The Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz is located in blissful country sides around the village of San Lawrenz, just a few minutes away from the centre of the island.

There are several rocky and sandy beaches on Gozo. The closest beach to the hotel is the Inland Sea - a natural lagoon located close to the Azure Window in Dwejra.The Inland Sea as well as Gozo’s largest sandy beach Ramla Bay are included in our shuttle bus route. Individual taxi companies charge between EUR 45 - 50 from the International Airport to the harbor in Cirkewwa on Malta. The ferry from Malta to Gozo is free of charge, solely on the way back the purchase of a ticket is required. The estimated taxi fare from the harbor in Mgarr to the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz averages EUR 18.

We provide convenient on-site car parking free of charge.

We have a no smoking policy in all our rooms and hotel’s premises. Smoking is permitted on balconies and designated outside area only. We enforce our policy as we wish to provide a smoke free environment to all our guests who are non-smokers or have allergies.

Euro is the official currency of Malta and we accept all major credit cards. Currency Exchange Services are available at the local banks in Victoria the capital of Gozo.

Free wireless internet connection is available in your room and the common areas of the hotel.

Pets are not allowed at the hotel, except service animals for people with disabilities.

A sumptuous breakfast buffet is served in our main restaurant L’Ortolan every morning from 07:30 to 11:00.

We do offer a Half Board option that includes à la carte dinner at Trattoria, our Italian restaurant. Alternatively you may take your Half Board at our Il-Baldakkin Lounge. Please note that there might be special events taking place, such as buffets and BBQ's when Trattoria may be closed. On these evenings we will of course offer you an appropriate alternative. The Half board option can only be booked for the whole duration of stay at 35 EUR per person per dinner and for 17.50 EUR per child (6-12) per dinner. We offer a complimentary courtesy bus service to Victoria, the capital of Gozo, to the Inland Sea at the Azure Window and the sandy beach Ramla Bay several times per day. The schedule and further information are provided at the Front Desk.

The amenities include three outdoor pools and two indoor pools, the Oriental Hammam, a steam chamber and a jacuzzi. Further two flood-lit outdoor tennis courts, two squash courts and a state-of-the -art gym are at your disposal.

For the convenience and comfort of all guests we have pool’s policies and regulations to follow while using our facilities. The main outdoor pool is for adults only, children under 13 years are to use the Residence’s Pool or the Family Pool with parents or guardians. Following regulations applies to the children’s use of the indoor pool: 07:00 - 15:00 (0 - 13 years).

Parents can relax while their children engage in fun filled activities like crafting, painting, colouring, board games, free play and more in our free Kid’s Club. It is opened everyday  from 10.00 till 13.00 and 14.00 until 18.00 for children 3 years up, children under 3 years will be accepted only upon availability of attendant’s services. Available outdoor activities and watersports on Gozo include Scuba Diving, Banana or Crazy Shark Ride, Jet-Ski, kayaking, climbing, hiking, biking, jeep safari tours, boat trips and more. The island is renowned for its abundant marine underwater scenery. Our PADI certified inhouse Diving Centre Bluewaters offers a wide variety of Diving courses for for all levels of knowledge.

You can explore Gozo by hiring a car, scooter or by bicycle. Or make use of the convenience that comes with a chauffeur-driven hire car. Our Front Desk will happily arrange your vehicle hire.

Yes, guests who arrive prior to our check-in time (15:00) can store their luggage in our luggage room and start using the spa facilities such as the indoor pools, the Oriental Hammam and our three outdoor pools. Bathrobes, towels and a locker will be provided at the spa.
