Neu Isenburg, 15 November 2012 - Visible progress is being made in the comprehensive renovation and reconstruction of the Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt Gravenbruch . The refurbishment of the first 66 rooms has been completed, they now have a completely new design. Work on the rooms took just over two months, with all employees of the five-star superior hotel pitching in for the final touches. The new rooms, in the categories of Comfort and Deluxe, are ready to welcome guests.
"So far, we furnished 20 rooms from scratch," says hotel director Stefan Schwind. Hotel guests can experience a completely new ambiance now. Soothing natural colours are predominant. Large amounts of wood, as well as other natural materials, were used.
The materials and colour scheme are dominated by various shades of green as a reverence to the particularly scenic location of the hotel. The Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch Frankfurt is a green oasis, surrounded by a 15 hectare park with picturesque old trees and a lake. Modern technology, from iPod connections to a central control panel, was also integrated in the rooms. In these rooms, as in all others, basic use of the Internet is free of charge.
Furthermore, 46 rooms in the Comfort category underwent an extensive beauty treatment. These rooms got new curtains, carpets, wallpaper, lamps, a freshening up of the bathrooms and modernised technology. The respective hotel floors were also redesigned. Guests will notice the difference between old and new upon entering the hallways; in contrast to the dark green of the previous carpets, sand-coloured wood now makes the corridors bright and inviting. Despite all the changes, the architects remained true to the original country style. Thus, the property shows a unique character that revives the hotel's historic background while at the same time emphasising the rural charm of the former estate and hunting lodge.
Refurbishment of a further 160 rooms will follow over the next months. By mid November, the renovation of the Presidential Suite, as well as the junior and executive suites, will be under way. As of spring 2013, the Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch Frankfurt will offer a total of 226 new rooms in a modern design. All refurbishment activities will be finished in 2014.
