Launch of "The One Penthouse"
Königstein im Taunus: After a two-year planning and construction phase, the five-star-superior hotel, the Falkenstein Grand Kempinski, is proud to launch the “The One Penthouse”. With over 500 sq m of space, a harmonious retreat of unsurpassed exclusivity has been created close to Frankfurt am Main in a building that has a history of affording rest and relaxation. And with its nightly rate of €21,000 it can be labelled Germany’s most exclusive suite.
The individual suite concept stretches across the entire fifth floor of the five-star business hideaway and consists of five living areas which can, according to your wishes, be combined together or booked separately. Each room has direct access to the spacious 360° outside terrace which features three luxurious lounge areas, an outdoor whirlpool and fascinating views of the historic Königstein-Falkenstein castle, the picturesque slopes of the Taunus forest and the impressive skyline of Frankfurt’s financial district on the banks of the River Main.
The Penthouse’s interior design exquisitely combines European elegance with the Chinese teachings of Feng Shui which underlies the concept of all rooms. Responsible for the design was the architect firm Mogendorf and Rudolf based in Wiesbaden and Zwiesel with Mrs Titia große Broermann, wife of the hotel proprietor, Dr Bernard große Broermann, overseeing all artistic content. Only the finest materials of the highest quality were used for the Penthouse’s interior – from precious marble from Morocco and the Lombardy, valuable fabrics from the famous Venetian textile manufacturer Rubelli, through to parquet flooring made of French and Moravian oak.
Individual silk wallpaper patterns in keeping with the Feng Shui concept, set magnificent tones in every room. Each is unique; hand-painted on high-quality silk or gold-plated paper and coated with an antique, pearl gloss finish.
The centrepiece of the exclusive Penthouse is the 270m² master suite with its four living areas: a 120 sq m living room, an attractive bedroom, a state-of-the-art media room and a library. Thanks to two table units made of solid pine, the spacious living room can be transformed into an impressive dining or conference area that can seat up to 22 people. The marble-clad bathroom in the sleeping area features a private sauna, an ultra-large whirlpool bath and an LED-lit rain shower - the perfect place to relax.
In addition to this, “The One Penthouse” offers a wonderfully elegant junior suite with an 80 sq m living area, two deluxe rooms and a skyline deluxe room with access to the lounge area on the outside terrace. If wished, the skyline deluxe room can be combined with one or two of the deluxe rooms to create an ingenious family suite.
The five-star-superior Falkenstein Grand Kempinski is a luxurious business hideaway which served as a place of rest and recuperation for guests of German Emperor Wilhelm II over a century ago. The location of the hotel in the spa resort of Königstein im Taunus, close to Frankfurt am Main, makes it the ideal destination for discerning business clients and private travellers.
Nestled in a six-hectare, picturesque park and only 20 minutes by car from Frankfurt International Airport or central Frankfurt, the hotel is a superb venue for sophisticated celebrations, conferences and business meetings. In addition to “The One Penthouse”, the luxury hotel also has numerous, naturally lit banqueting and meeting rooms available to you.
A professional team providing customised service assists hotel guests with the planning and implementation of their event. Head Chef Oliver Heberlein conjures up exceptional flavours with his own brand of regional cuisine that sees new interpretations of classic dishes. The hotel-owned Raffael’s Bar with one of the best whisky collections in Germany, will also delight the most discerning palates.
