A City Full of Amazing Attractions
All across Dubai there are a great number of attractions built specifically for kids, and thankfully for guests of Kempinski Hotel and Residences Palm Jumeirah, many of them are located a short distance away from the hotel.
Aquaventure Atlantis Dubai Waterpark
Just a five-minute drive from the hotel along Crescent Road is Aquaventure, one of Dubai's most popular water parks. A 42-acre site, there are flumes, lazy rivers, rapids, wave pools and play areas to enjoy as a family under the famous Dubai sunshine. Day passes start from AED 215.
An interesting, fun, and educational attraction, KidZania allows children from toddler age to 16 to try a range of adult jobs (made kid-friendly of course) in a kids-size city, earning currency called KidZos that they can then spend on other activities, food, or petrol for their cars. Only 30-minutes' drive from the hotel in downtown Dubai, the 7,500 sq m KidZania is a definite must-visit! Ticket prices start from AED 150.
IMG Worlds of Adventures
The world's largest indoor theme park (the size of 28 football fields), IMG Worlds of Adventure is lots of fun, made up of four main areas devoted to the Marvel universe, Cartoon Network, dinosaurs and a final zone featuring many shops and restaurants. It is just a 35-minute drive from the hotel in the City of Arabia district, and is open daily. Ticket prices start from AED 100.
Dubai Park and Resorts
35-minutes' drive from the hotel in Jebel Ali is the Middle East's largest theme park, featuring over 100 rides and destinations split over three different parks – Motiongate Dubai, themed around Hollywood movies; Bollywood Parks Dubai, an Indian movie-themed zone; and Legoland Dubai, with its diverse range of rides and experiences. A multipark ticket starts from AED 195.
An educational day out for kids of all ages, Children's City is all about exploration and discovery. With galleries focusing on things like space exploration, the human body, nature, theatre and both local and international cultures, it is a great day out for young minds, and is only a 30-minute drive from the hotel in downtown Dubai. Tickets start from AED 10.
Definitely a 21st-century wonder of the world, Ski Dubai is the only ski resort on the Arabian Peninsula. Stretching over 22,000 sq m, this indoor ski slope is located in the Mall of the Emirates, giving families the chance to enjoy snow sports while it is 40°C outside, and even has real penguin encounters! The amazing Ski Dubai is just 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel and kids slope passes start from AED 285.
Wild Wadi Water Theme Park Dubai
Another brilliant water park, Wild Wadi has 23 exciting rides, fun entertainment shows, wave pools and plenty of interactive play areas. The perfect break from the intense heat, this wild, wet theme park is the ideal place to spend a day in the water, and it is easy to get to as well, being only a 20-minute drive from The Palm. Day tickets start from AED 245.
