10 March 2022, Istanbul
Istanbul, 10 March 2022 – A year ago, Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul set off on a journey to bring together its own tea collection for the Palace and the hotel, and to offer it on the beverage menu to guests from all over the world to savour and also as a special gift. This tea journey has been one with a double purpose: to offer the best quality of green tea and to contribute, quite proudly, to the promotion of Turkish green tea around the world.
When Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul decided to design a special set of tea blends on top of its highest-quality blends, its path crossed with that of Türkiye’s most prominent gastronomy writer, Ebru Erke, who also happens to be a great tea aficionado. A famed food engineer and food writer, Ebru has travelled all over the world, from the foothills of the Himalayan mountains to the traditional ceremonies in Japan, from the most specific productions in Türkiye to the mountains of Sri Lanka, in pursuit of tea. She is also a published author on tea and runs TV programmes. She has created exclusive varieties of blends for Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, which is one of the most special spots over the Bosphorus of the enchanted city of Istanbul.
Created only with the rarest, hand-picked leaves from the Black Sea region, Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul’s exclusive tea blends offer a variety that is sure to impress, with a mix of clementine and strawberry, orange blossom, and blueberry notes spiked with grapefruit – the list goes on – to present six different flavours. The names of the tea blends in the tea collection were also chosen with the utmost care: “Good Morning Çırağan”, “Palace Fusion” and “Royal Pleasure” are some of them. The tea varieties are specially diversified according to the season, and there are also alternatives like “Winter Charm”.
This exclusive collection of tea can be savoured in one of the most pleasant places of the hotel facing the Bosphorus, the Gazebo Lounge. It is also available at Çırağan Palace’s online shop at www.ciraganpalaceshop.com.
