Berchtesgadem salt and herbs

We are incredibly lucky that our surroundings here at Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden's Kempinski The Spa are rich in natural benefits. The local salt mine and the surrounding Alps provide herbs and salts which we strive to use within our Definitive Treatments, which you can browse below.

Salt Stone Massage
Our natural Salt Stone Massage is the ultimate mountain experience, exclusively designed for Berchtesgaden. Each hand-smoothed salt stone is mined locally, and contains one of the world’s most ancient minerals - zeolite - which is a powerful anti-oxidant. These warmed salt stones are applied in a healing technique that balances the body’s equilibrium, detoxifies and provides deep relaxation to the muscles with an energy releasing effect.
50/80 minutes - EUR 105/165

Thermal Alpine Herb Massage
Alpine herbs gathered from the mountainside are compacted into herbal pouches that are gently steamed and used to apply pressure throughout the massage. The combination of wild calendula, arnica and chamomile target strained and aching muscles, and also work to calm sensitive skin.
50/80 minutes - EUR 105/165

‘White Gold’ Salt Bath
Salts mined from the heart of the Bavarian Mountains are over 120 million years old and were once known as ‘white gold’. When added to a bath and steeped in warm, clear mountain water, they re-mineralize the body and balance is restored to the delicate pH of the skin.
25 minutes - EUR 60 (single or for couples)

Essence of the Alps Body Trio
Allow us to bring the beauty of the mountains to you. A heated poultice of ancient mineral salts and finely ground Alpine herbs are vigorously applied, concentrating on dry skin areas such as the elbows and feet.

Next, bursts of warm mountain water are lathered richly with a loofah, ensuring your skin is buffed and smooth. To complete your experience, a Salt Stone Massage with cold pressed mountain herb-infused oil seals in the essence of the Alps.
90 minutes - EUR 185
