Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center welcomed visiting leaders for APEC China 2014
Beijing, 18 November 2014–The 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting was successfully held in Beijing in November 2014. As one of the official designated hotels for APEC delegations, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center received leaders and delegates from Indonesia, the United States, Japan and Mexico during APEC week.

Kempinski Hotel Beijing accorded great importance to the visit of APEC delegations. Prior to the arrival of the delegates, the hotel conducted thorough preparation work in communication with embassies, delegations and the APEC China 2014 Organising Committee. The hotel carefully organised the event in every aspect to implement the government’s guideline of providing “detail-oriented, thorough and satisfactory services”. During APEC week, Kempinski Hotel Beijing smoothly organised relevant functions and events and provided excellent services for the visiting leaders and delegations, including guests like the Indonesian president and delegation, the Japanese delegation of their minister of economy, a US military delegation and the Mexican journalist group.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Ambassador Soegeng Rahardjo highly praised the service they received at Kempinski Hotel Beijing, especially the culinary services and the in-room set-up arrangements made to meet the specific needs of Muslim guests. At the moment of his departure, President Widodo invited the hotel service team to take a photo with him and shook hands with everyone from the team to express his gratitude.
