Kempinski Hotels host 2013 Career Days in Beijing and Munich

6th February 2013 -Getting to know new cultures, working in international teams and taking responsibility early on - this is how many high-flying hotel careers have begun at Kempinski. For those with the right attitude and a dream of working for Europe’s oldest hotel groups, registering for the upcoming Kempinski Career Day in Beijing is a must.
Kempinski will host its second Career Day in Beijing on 23rd March 2013at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre in order to recruit new talent. External applicants and current employees will have the unique opportunity to meet and network directly with the General Managers of every hotel in China and several properties in the Middle East, for instance in the United Arab Emirates. They can inform themselves and apply for any of the 300 positions available.
This event is aiming at individuals with previous professional experience who are looking for their next step or a new professional challenge. Moreover, students or young professionals and newcomers to the hospitality world are welcome to attend. A good first impression could mean a job offer within only a few days and the prospect of a long-term career within an international luxury company.
The positions range from entry-level jobs, such as direct entry positionsor management traineeships to middle and senior management positions in various fields. The positions on offer also include Event Managers, Directors of Food and Beverage, Spa & Wellness Managers, Housekeeping Supervisors and Butlers providing many different opportunities to enter the Kempinski world of remarkable hoteliers in any of the destinations within or outside of China
“The Career Days have clearly proven to be successful for us as a company and for the participants, who really get a wide range of opportunities and have the chance to talk directly to managers,” says Reto Wittwer, President and CEO of Kempinski Hotels. Wittwer is the driving force behind making talent development a matter of priority for the management andwill be present in Beijing this year to interview and meet Kempinski’s potential future managers. “The only indispensable qualities you need to work in the hotel industry are passion and enthusiasm. Everything else can be learned” says Wittwer in regards to his personal requirements for a job in luxury hospitality.
In total, over 2,000 internal and external participants have already come to Kempinski Career Days in Germany, China and the Middle East with a high success rate: more than 50% of the external applicants who took part in the Kempinski Career Day 2012 in Munich and Beijing have received an offer and have taken on an international career with Europe’s oldest hotel group.
In order to make the most of the opportunities available and increase the chance for success applicants should come well-prepared.
