ORGANIZATIONS HELPED BY THE EVENT
FRIENDS OF THE SICK AND THE ELDERLY IN GOZO
The FSEG is a non-profit philanthropic NGO that over the past 25 years has donated numerous items of essential medical and nursing equipment to institutions caring for the sick and the elderly. More recently the FSEG has been lending equipment to facilitate nursing of bed-bound persons in the Gozo community by relatives in their own home. FSEG encourages family solidarity and also helps to reduce the number of occupied hospital beds. Their website is fsegozo.org
HAPPY MOMENTS KENYA
Their philosophy is to "help people help themselves". To this end they take on tasks as small as helping people repair their bicycles, replacing corrugated sheets for roofs, supply food for the elderly without relatives, etc. In addition they have helped building kindergarten schools, provided fresh water to villages, created livestock and agricultural farms from scratch, and even set up a hardware store business. Their latest effort is to collect donations to purchase an ambulance for the Cottalengo Mission Hospital. Their website is happymomentskenya.org
