Over 60 distinguished guests responded to the call to be part of this special event.

The art works shown at the exhibition were limited editions of prints made for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games by 27 world famous artists from 10 countries. They are the only works with the logo of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games that can be only used under the authorization of the International Olympic Committee. In addition to the Olympic Portfolio, Liu Mu oil paintings were exhibited as well.

24 paintings and 3 sculptures will be exhibited in the hotel public area for a period of one month after the grand opening cocktail party, and part of revenue generated by selling the art works will be donated to Chi Heng Foundation, a charity organization which provides care not only to AIDS orphans, but also AIDS-affected children, thereby ensuring that no child is excluded and each child’s needs are fully understood.

“It helps extend our long standing tradition of actively supporting arts and culture from local European communities to the world. Also, at Kempinski Hotel Suzhou, we have built a legacy of outstanding service and it also extends into our charity program. We have put a lot of effort in making the Art Exhibition happen and we hope by giving back actively to the society through encouraging our employees, business partners and guests, we could creatively build a philanthropy circle among ourselves and stakeholders for needy people."Stated by Mr.Henk Meyknecht, the General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Suzhou.”
