The Çırağan Palace Kempinski Art Gallery has hosted over 20 renowned national and international artists since its opening in May 2007. Now it launches another gallery concept; the “hotel floor galleries”. This has been rendered possible by each artist donating an original painting from his/her exhibition to Çırağan Palace Kempinski İstanbul free of charge, as a part of the agreement.
Çırağan Palace Kempinski İstanbul, thus, besides its ordinary commission of 30 % from the sales of each artwork during the exhibitions, has also gained the ownership of thousand dollars worth of original artworks after each exhibition.
These original paintings have turned the large hotel room elevator landings into art galleries solely for the eyes of the hotel guests. Having started on the first floor with “Gallery One East”, we have completed “Gallery One West”, and we are now ready to move to the second floor with “Gallery Two East” and “Gallery Two West”. We strongly believe that these private “hotel floor galleries”, conveniently located right across the main lifts adorned with attractive and original artworks will make the Çırağan Palace Kempinski İstanbul guests’ stay even more memorable and unique while supplying them with a quick and pleasant artistic experience just walking to/from their rooms.
Çırağan Palace Kempinski İstanbul takes pride to be the first Kempinski hotel that has created a “hotel floor gallery” and is determined to achieve more “firsts” in carrying out its mission of being an art and culture ambassador nationally and internationally.
