Becoming the first hotel in Indonesia to achieve Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Certification, The Apurva Kempinski has continued to pursue its commitment to sustainable growth, encompassing all aspects of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
Path to Sustainable Growth (PTSG) has established The Apurva Kempinski Bali as Indonesia's leading voice in sustainable hospitality. In 2026, we evolve the conversation from sustainable to regenerative - a model that sustains, actively restores and enriches. This year, the movement evolves from conversation to commitment. Four pillars. One direction. A future that is regenerated from within.
In 2025, Path to Sustainable Growth brought together more than 250 participants - professionals, sustainability-focused brands, hospitality and tourism leaders, students, and practitioners - united by a singular intent: to generate meaningful insight on sustainable development and the role every sector must play in shaping Indonesia's future.
Now, PTSG returns with greater ambition. In 2026, the movement deepens its focus under the theme of Regenerate for the Future and opens its doors wider than ever. This is not a summit for one industry. It is a call to action for all of them - from hospitality and agriculture to finance, education, and the creative economy.
The Platform
Path to Sustainable Growth 2026 is a leading platform for cross-industry collaboration, driving innovative and impactful sustainability solutions that create a profitable, responsible, and regenerative future. By uniting global leaders, policymakers, businesses, and communities, the summit aims to accelerate sustainable transformation in tourism, hospitality, and beyond - fostering actionable strategies, measurable progress, and long-term resilience, ensuring that sustainability is a core driver of economic growth, environmental protection, and social empowerment.
Through continuous dialogue and shared expertise, Path to Sustainable Growth seeks to shape a more inclusive, conscious, and future-ready destination for Bali and Indonesia.
REPURPOSING What was discarded becomes what drives us forward.
Indonesia's greatest sustainability asset is not what it has yet to build - it is what it has already been given. From ancestral wisdom and heritage architecture to materials once dismissed as waste, repurposing is the act of seeing the old with new eyes. When we give existing resources an extended life, we reduce extraction, honour heritage, and unlock value that was never truly lost.
REFRESHING LIVES Nourish the people who nourish the world.
A depleted workforce cannot drive regeneration. An unwell community cannot build resilience. Indonesia holds centuries of human longevity wisdom - from Bali's Usada healing tradition to the functional intelligence of jamu - that the global wellness economy is spending billions to rediscover. This pillar brings that knowledge forward, asking how we build systems where human vitality and ecological health are in deep, lasting conversation.
REGENERATING Restore the ecosystems. Fund the innovators. Build what lasts.
From land restoration and replanting to waste-to-resource innovation and circular economy systems, this pillar positions tourism and industry as forces for ecological healing. It is also the home of Seeds of Change, the incubation programme that finds and funds the next generation of regenerative thinkers who will carry this mission far beyond a single event.
RETHINKING RESOURCES Use less. Value more. Build systems that restore.
Growth does not require more - it requires better. This pillar challenges the assumption that progress means extraction, exploring certified sustainable agriculture, plant-based innovation, and local crop ecosystems that are quietly reshaping how Indonesia produces and consumes. It asks producers, policymakers, and businesses to be honest about where the things they use come from - and courageous enough to build supply chains that give back as much as they take.
