WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, sits at the base of the Central Plain on the delta of the Chao Phraya River, about 40 kilometres or 25 miles from the Gulf of Thailand. It was formerly divided into two municipalities: Krung Thep on the east bank and Thon Buri on the west bank that are today connected by several bridges.
Bangkok has a tropical monsoon climate with three main seasons: hot season from March to June; monsoon season from July to October, and a ‘cool’ season from November to February.
