Seychelles, 14 November 2023 – From December 15th, 2023, "Le Petit Chef", a globally-renowned unique dinner theatre, will visit the Seychelles and make gourmet hearts beat faster. At the Kempinski Seychelles Resort visitors can expect sophisticated 3D cinema combined with excellent gastronomy.
Every guest can look forward to a show on their own plate: Between meals, the table is unobtrusively transformed into a screen, whereupon the little chef entertains with various performances and recordings, because his attempts to prepare culinary masterpieces almost always end in disaster. Luckily, the kitchen crew of the Kempinski Seychelles Resort always helps out the virtual star! When the food is on the table, the show moves into the background and the curtain goes up for regional and international delicacies.
The menu is pre-selected and includes for example in the “LE GRAND CHEF” menu dishes such as fresh burrata, vine-ripened tomatoes, rocket with fresh radish and aged balsamic reduction. For the second course, guests will enjoy a bouillabaisse with a delicious selection of seafood in a tomato broth. A rouille sauce completes this delicious meal. This will be followed by a lobster risotto - the Kempinski Seychelles team will serve asparagus with green peas, king prawns and lobster. Guests can also look forward to delicious US beef accompanied by honey glazed carrots, broccoli, saffron mashed potatoes and a red pepper sauce. Finally, a vanilla crème brûlée topped with berry sorbet completes the menu. The careful selection of ingredients and the offer of 4 different menus, including a vegetarian and a junior menu, will satisfy all tastes and allow young and old to enjoy an unforgettable culinary journey.
Behind the elaborate animations lies the Belgian artist collective "Skullmapping", founded in 2010 by Filip Sterckx and Antoon Verbeeck. Using 3D mapping technology and a profound artistic know-how, the 58 mm small chef was brought to life in 2015.
After launching on December 15th., 2023, "Le Petit Chef" will play from Wednesday to Sunday. A reservation is required in advance for attending the show. For more information on reservations, booking, prices and the planned menu, please visit here.
