Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl - Doha and Shafallah Center held an open day special programme

Doha, 14 September 2022 - Marsa Malaz Kempinski collaborated with Shafallah Center for children with special needs, part of the Qatar Social Work, in organizing An “Open Day” for its members with a day filled with engaging activities. The activity is part of the center’s program to include their members in their efforts of showing support, cheer, and to boost the morale of the Qatar National Team in preparation for the upcoming World Cup. Held on Wednesday, 14th of September 2022 at Shafallah Center’s Hall, the team of Marsa Malaz Kempinski paid a visit and put together an array of exciting activities for the children.

Attended by approximately 150 children who are registered in the center, they participated in different activities such as cookie and cupcake decorations, dancing, fun games including ball relay and more. The Kempinski Titan Tikes mascot was present in the event and lively played with the children, accompanied by a DJ to provide entertainment. 

“It is a privilege to be working together with Shafallah Center and for Marsa Malaz Kempinski to be chosen as a partner in putting together such a heart-warming day to spend time with the children, and cheer together for the Qatar National Team in the upcoming World Cup tournament in November and December”, said Mr. Karim Tayach, Kempinski Area General Manager – GCC, excluding UAE. “We are honored to be collaborating with the Shafallah center, and for our colleagues to be participating in the center’s efforts in raising awareness within the community, to build an inclusive, safe and fun environment for the children. Our team at Marsa Malaz Kempinski will continue its diversified welfare practices to strengthen the bond between our team members and our community”, he added. 

Open Day is one of the most important programs that members benefit from as they get the chance to socialise with other members of the community, break from the class environment, refine their talents, develop their capabilities and instill confidence and independence in them. The center’s staff members are supervising the program and the event was also attended by members’ parents.
