Dubai, UAE – 21 August 2025 – Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates is proud to honour Emirati Women’s Day 2025 with a week-long series of experiences celebrating art, culture, dining, and wellness. This year’s milestone marks the 50th anniversary of Emirati Women’s Day under the inspiring theme “Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50 Years.”

A Tribute Through Art: Fatma Lootah’s Pop-Up Exhibition

From 25–31 August, the hotel presents a specially curated pop-up exhibition by Fatma Lootah, one of the UAE’s most celebrated contemporary artists, in collaboration with Dubai-based gallery Rarares.

Fatma Lootah is one of the UAE’s most influential contemporary artists, renowned for her emotionally charged, socially engaged works that often explore themes of identity, womanhood, and cultural memory. Born in Dubai and trained at the Art Academy of Baghdad and later in Washington, D.C., she has lived in Verona, Italy since the 1980s while maintaining strong ties to the UAE.

Her works have been exhibited internationally in Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, the United States, Morocco, India, and Qatar, among many others. A career highlight was her participation in the Nasdaq Artist in Residence program in Times Square, New York (2018), where her work was showcased on one of the world’s most iconic stages.

“On this special 50th anniversary of Emirati Women’s Day, I am honored to celebrate the strength and creativity of women through my art. This year’s theme, ‘Hand in Hand,’ is extremely dear to my heart. Together, we shape the future – and I’m excited about how bright it already looks,” says  Fatma Lootah.
