Celebrating 20 Years of Community Giving with Landmark Fundraiser for Emirates Red Crescent in Collaboration with Mall of The Emirates
Dubai, UAE 23 November 2025 – The annual Stollen Charity Cake Sale, a flagship festive event held at the Central Galleria in Mall of the Emirates on November 23rd, 2025, achieved a spectacular result this year, raising an incredible AED 55,000. All proceeds from the sale are dedicated to supporting vital educational initiatives through the Emirates Red Crescent.
The impressive fundraising total is the result of immense effort and community collaboration. Leading up to the event, the dedicated pastry team at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, spearheaded by Head Baker Chef Gerard, spent an entire night baking more than a 1,000 traditional German Stollen cakes.
This celebrated fruit bread, rich with spices and candied fruits, was made available to the generous community, with prices set at AED 100 for a full 60cm loaf and AED 50 for a 35cm half loaf. Every single dirham raised directly supports the Emirates Red Crescent's mission, providing essential educational resources to children both within the UAE and globally.
This year’s event showcased a powerful partnership, welcoming students and their families from the Gems Jumeirah School’s charity committee. These enthusiastic volunteers actively contributed to the event's success by assisting with the cutting, packing, and selling of the Stollen bread, enriching the experience and demonstrating a strong spirit of community engagement.
Slim Zaiane, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, commented on the successful collaboration: “It is genuinely humbling to see the community embrace this tradition year after year. Every loaf of Stollen sold directly translates into educational opportunities, shaping a brighter future for children in need. We extend our deepest gratitude to every person who contributed. This event reinforces our belief that hospitality extends beyond our doors into the heart of the community.”
