As part of our Corporate Social Responsability and as an EarthCheck Silver certified establishment, Kempinksi Summerland Hotel & Resort Beirut is commited to sustainable practices across three key pillars: the environment, people and community, and prosperity. 
 

Environment: Protecting Our Planet

• More than 20% of our electricity consumption is supplied by a solar PV system.
• More than 60 tonnes of carbon emissions are reduced every month, thanks to solar systems.
• Water-saving reducers are installed in all guest room showers
• All our waste is sorted and recycled by a specialised company 
• Our lights have been upgraded to LED 
• Some of our ingredients are sourced from our hotel's organic garden and used in our recipes 
   

People and Community: Investing in Our People

• We hire employees with special needs
• We encourage the consumption of local produce by supporting small, local businesses and NGOs 
• We organise many acitvities with the local community 
• We partnered with the Children's Cancer Center to donate US$ 1 from each guest's invoice 
  
   

Prosperity: Ensuring a Sustainable Future 

• We provide regular training on sustainability to all our team members, and we conduct specialised training for the maintenance team about sustainability, greenhouse gas effects, recycling, etc.
