1. Striezelmarkt
Germany’s oldest and most famous Christmas market opens its doors again in November. Glittering lights, the aroma of mulled wine and festive Christmas music once again enchant the city centre around the Altmarkt. You can reach this Christmas market within 5 minutes on foot.

2. Advent on the Neumarkt
The Christmas market on Neumarkt, in front of the Frauenkirche, enchants its visitors with its unmistakable historical charm and elaborate replicas of a traditional market idyll. You can reach this Christmas market within 3 minutes on foot.

3. Winter Magic in the Historic Old Town
Between the Frauenkirche and Brühl’s Terrace, in Münzgasse, a traditional Christmas market awaits you in the historic old town. You can reach this Christmas market within 5 minutes on foot.
 

4. Medieval Christmas in the Historic Stallhof

6. Elbhang Christmas Market
Away from the hustle and bustle, the smallest and most tranquil Christmas market in Dresden, located in Loschwitz, invites you to enjoy a peaceful Advent stroll among its charming small stalls. You can reach this Christmas market by car in 2–5 minutes or take tram line 4 to the ‘Bergmannstraße’ stop, followed by bus line 63 to Körnerplatz. 

7. Dresden Winter Lights
The sparkling world of lights along Prager Straße invites you to enjoy a festive Christmas stroll. With 85 stalls and a 25-metre-high Ferris wheel, this market offers pure Christmas charm. You can also marvel at its unique lighting concept. You can reach the market within 10 minutes on foot.

8. Augustus Market
Experience an international Christmas atmosphere in Dresden’s Neustadt district, right up to the famous ‘Goldener Reiter’ monument. The white and gold pagodas line the main street, offering handicrafts and exotic international cuisine. Highlights include the striking Blue Tree at the centre of the market and an ice rink at its far end. You can reach this market via tram lines 4, 7 and 9, alighting at the ‘Neustädter Markt’ stop.

9. St. Nicholas Market at Kunsthof
Nestled in the courtyards of Neustadt in Dresden’s Kunsthofpassage, the St Nicholas Market offers a charming and cosy atmosphere. Enjoy the festive and magical flair of the Christmas market, ‘Lichterglanz & Budenzauber’, in the village centre of Altkötzschenbroda in Radebeul. Christmas workshops, a trail of lights and various festive programmes invite both young and old to delight in a leisurely Christmas stroll. Altkötzschenbroda can be reached by car within 30 minutes, by tram line 4 to the Gradsteg stop or by S-Bahn to the Radebeul Kötzschenbroda stop.
