Welcoming Our New General Manager Tamir Tsolmon, a Warm Farewell to Dirk Bansemer

In a momentous event, Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace Ulaanbaatar witnessed the symbolic handover of leadership on 21 March. The affair was nothing short of spectacular, held in the hotel ballroom, where guests and esteemed clients were warmly welcomed.

The event commenced with a delightful cocktail reception, setting a celebratory tone. Mr. Dirk Bansemer, the outgoing General Manager, expressed gratitude to guests and colleagues for their support and shared memories over his six-year tenure at Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace Ulaanbaatar. Reflecting on cherished experiences in Mongolia, he thanked the owners, Mr. Baatarsaikhan and Mrs. Hulan, and praised the dedicated team for their resilience. Passing the torch to his successor, Mr. Tamir, Mr. Bansemer expressed confidence in the hotel's future under new leadership.

Following this heartfelt address, the baton of leadership was formally passed to Mr. Tamir Tsolmon, the newly appointed General Manager. Mr. Baatarsaikhan and Mrs. Khulan, owners of Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace, graced the occasion with their presence, and Mrs. Khulan shared their insights and extended their best wishes for the future.

Mr. Tamir Tsolmon, in his speech, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the new General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace, reflecting on his 16-year journey with the establishment and honouring his predecessor, Mr. Bansemer. He thanked guests and partners for their support and outlined upcoming projects aimed at enhancing the guest experience, including the renovation of the hotel facade and the opening of Berthold Delikatessen. Mr. Tamir also highlighted the hotel's commitment to social responsibility through the "Be Health" program, in collaboration with Misheel Kids Foundation. He expressed appreciation to the owners, Mr. Baatarsaikhan and Mrs. Khulan, for their trust and support, and thanked his colleagues for their dedication. Looking ahead, he expressed confidence in the hotel's future success and invited everyone to join him on the exciting journey ahead.

The atmosphere was further enriched by the traditional Mongolian long song accompanied by soulful fiddle playing, adding a touch of cultural richness to this historic transition.

About Tamir Tsolmon: First Mongolian General Manager, Tamir Tsolmon, with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Tamir's journey at Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace began in 2007 when he joined as a receptionist. Over the years, he has excelled in various roles, including Reservation Specialist, Reservation Manager, Revenue Manager. Mr. Tsolmon was promoted Director of Sales and Marketing in 2020, and, most recently, Executive Assistant Manager last year. His wealth of experience and diverse skill set have uniquely positioned him to assume the role of General Manager from 12 March 2024. Tamir Tsolmon, a Mongolian national, holds a Diploma in Management of Tourism Product, and is fluent in both his native language and English. A devoted family man, he is married and has two children. This transition marks a significant milestone in his career, demonstrating his dedication and expertise in the hospitality field.
