Kempinski Group Launches ‘City in Bloom’: A Seasonal Spa Journey Inspired by Chinese Floral Heritage

Kempinski Hotel Hangzhou - Spa

Beijing, China, 1 April 2026 – As spring unfolds across China, Kempinski Group introduces City in Bloom, a limited-time seasonal spa campaign running from April to May 2026. Spanning six Kempinski hotels, each experience is inspired by a flower emblematic of its destination, translating local cultural identity into immersive wellness rituals.

Each participating property has crafted a bespoke spa journey, drawing on the natural essence, symbolism and sensory qualities of its chosen flower. Together, these signature treatments form a curated collection that celebrates both the vitality of spring and the richness of regional traditions.

The campaign brings the fleeting beauty of spring to life through a series of restorative and memorable wellness experiences:
Kempinski Hotel Shanghai – Gardenia (Gardenia Serenity Spa Journey). This 75-minute full-body ritual is inspired by the elegance of gardenia and combines aromatic inhalation, floral cleansing, therapeutic massage and revitalising compress therapy.
Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan – Lavender (Violet Lavender Revitalising Treatment). Harnessing the calming properties of lavender, this treatment promotes deep relaxation while restoring inner balance.
Kempinski Hotel Fuzhou – Jasmine (Jasmine Pearl Aromatherapy). Reflecting the city’s historic connection to jasmine, this ritual features a tea-infused foot ceremony followed by a signature massage that captures the flower’s delicate essence.
Kempinski Hotel Jinan – Rose (Rose Blossom Soothing Therapy). Featuring prized Pingyin rose essential oil, this treatment nourishes the skin while delivering a soothing and luxurious sensory experience.
Kempinski Hotel Hangzhou – Osmanthus (Osmanthus Radiance Package). Combining an osmanthus-infused spa treatment with an overnight stay, this experience invites guests to fully immerse themselves in the gentle spirit of spring in Hangzhou.
Kempinski Hotel Yinchuan – Iris (Iris Spa Journey). Inspired by the city’s official flower, this ritual offers a clean, earthy aromatic profile evoking freshness, resilience and renewal.
With its limited seasonal availability, City in Bloom invites guests to experience spring at its most evocative. Whether through a single treatment or an extended stay, the campaign reflects Kempinski’s commitment to creating meaningful, place-inspired luxury experiences.
