Bansko, 14 November 2023: Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko once again has been crowned “Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel” at the annual World Ski Awards 2023. Votes were cast online by ski industry professionals and by ski tourism consumers from around the world on the organisation’s official website. The 16-week race for votes began on 26 June and ended on 13 October.

Voting took place across the full spectrum of the global ski industry, with categories including Best Ski Resort, Best Ski Chalet, Best Ski Hotel, Best Ski Tour Operator and Best Ski Travel Agent. The list of all winners of the World Ski Awards 2023 was revealed on 13 November and is available at https://worldskiawards.com/winners/2023. Awards are announced on a country-level, featuring the best resorts and hospitality providers from the world’s best ski tourism destinations.

The World Ski Awards, a sister organisation of the World Travel Awards, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, was launched in 2013 with the aim of driving up standards in the ski tourism industry by rewarding the organisations that are leaders in their field.

General Manager Rene Detzen commented: “We are extremely proud to be honoured as Bulgaria's Best Ski Hotel for the ninth time and would like to thank all our guests for their loyalty and recognition. Once again, this year, we share the glory with the resort of Bansko, awarded ‘Bulgaria’s Best Ski Resort 2023’ by the World Ski Awards as well. I believe that these valuable accolades strengthen the position of both the hotel and the destination as leaders in providing world-class ski experiences and quality service.”

Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko, voted Bulgaria’s Best Ski Hotel, is located in the very heart of the mountain resort and is the only ski-in and ski-out hotel in the area, ideally positioned across from the Gondola lift station that gives access to 75 kilometres of prime-quality ski runs. At the end of September, the luxury hotel was also awarded “Bulgaria’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel 2023” by World Travel Awards, and just a month ago, the hotel received two more elite accolades: “Bulgaria’s Best Hotel Spa 2023” by World Spa Awards and “Bulgaria’s Best Hotel Restaurant 2023” by World Culinary Awards.
