Kempinski China & Mongolia IT Workshop Successfully Concluded

Kempinski Hotel Chengdu China - Property amenity

From August 19 to 21, 2026, the Kempinski China & Mongolia IT Workshop was successfully held at Kempinski Hotel Chengdu. Under the leadership of Mr Aime Musonerwa, Group Director of IT Field Operations, and Mr Kerwin Zhu, Regional Director of IT, the Group and regional IT teams, together with partners including Threatspike, TMB, Shiji, RoundTable and Trustsoft, gathered for a three-day in-depth exchange on cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and AI applications.

As the host, Mr. Thomas Hsu, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Chengdu, shared in his opening remarks: "Technology never stands still, yet our focus on people and our passion for service remain the enduring hallmark of Kempinski." These words resonated through every detail over the three days.

Day 1 focused on cybersecurity with sessions on the Incident Response Playbook and hands-on Threatspike training. Day 2 featured HIS/PMS Cloud operations and Shiji product demonstrations, followed by discussions on Agentic AI, Horwath HTL marketing trends, and digital experience enhancement. Day 3 covered OKTA identity management, an IPTV guestroom entertainment showcase and roundtable led by RoundTable, followed by TMB remote services and Serverless architecture dialogues, concluding with a certification ceremony.

Over these three days, the team at Kempinski Hotel Chengdu demonstrated exceptional execution and refined sensitivity, seamlessly weaving local cultural experiences into every aspect of hospitality — transforming a technical conference into an unforgettable "Chengdu journey."

Tea Break · A Taste of Sichuan, A Moment of Ease

During daily intermissions, the team curated a Sichuan-style themed afternoon tea featuring local delicacies such as mung bean cakes, spicy shortbread, and rice cakes. A Kung Fu Tea performance accompanied the spread — the tea master, with a long-spouted brass teapot, poured with fluid precision, embodying the essence of Eastern grace. One European guest remarked: "A single tea break has given me a lasting impression of this city's unique character."

Gala Dinner · A Feast of Flavors, A Spectacle of Art

The final evening's Chinese-themed banquet showcased authentic Sichuan cuisine — the boldness of poached beef in spicy broth and the sweet-spicy notes of Kung Pao shrimp captured the culinary essence of the Land of Abundance. Midway through, a Sichuan opera face-changing performance took the stage. Masks shifted in the blink of an eye, drawing thunderous applause, with several guests invited on stage for an up-close encounter with this intangible cultural heritage art.

Service · Excellence in the Unseen

The tea breaks and dinner stood as visible highlights, yet countless acts of care remained quietly out of sight. From equipment testing and venue flow optimization to personalized responses for every guest request — whether a last-minute adapter change or a dietary need — the team attended to each matter promptly. Despite the intense schedule and swift transitions, every handover proceeded flawlessly. Behind all this stands the professional expertise honed over years and the relentless pursuit of perfection that defines the team at Kempinski Hotel Chengdu.

Three days — the agenda may have concluded, yet the connections among partners and the rapport between our team and guests continue to thrive. A conference that lingers in memory requires something more than professionalism — a genuine care for people. And that is precisely what Kempinski Hotel Chengdu does best.
