Celebrate Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai 10th Year Anniversary
Shanghai, June 28, 2023 – Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai celebrated its 10th Year Anniversary on June 28, 2023. Over the past ten years, The Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai has not only carried forward the legend of the Kempinski experience, but has created traditions such as the concertini events giving local artists the platform to perform in front of live audiences.
In celebration of the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai’s 10th anniversary, we invited VIP guests from the Embassy of Cuba in China, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, top accounts and various media from Shanghai and celebrated with a very special Four Hands dinners by Executive Chef Daniel from Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Centre, along with our Executive Chef Andrea.
Two cultures, two renowned chefs and two cuisines in one kitchen. Germany and Italy meet together in the hands of Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai. Chef Andrea and Chef Daniel who created menus based on traditions, food culture modernism and a contemporaneous journey. Chef Daniel has curated a menu filled with rich flavours and a nod to his roots. Highlights include the slightly smoked and citrus cured wild trout with caviar, a Patagonian tooth fish with pepperonata and fresh peas. In an inventive approach, Chef Andrea combined Italy gastronomic techniques of great precision and finesse with an emphasis on the use of fresh, authentic and seasonal products, embracing his Italian roots and heritage.
Since its opening in 2013, Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai has welcomed over 400,000 guests to stay in the hotel and hosted nearly 500 memorable weddings, in addition to creating amazing memories for numerous influential social events and gala banquets. In the area of social welfare and environmental protection, Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai has been fulfilling the brand’s commitment, actively participating in social welfare efforts in two main areas: environmental protection and the welfare of old people. For ten consecutive years, Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai has visited welfare institutions to help the elderly in Shanghai and joined hands with the China Green Foundation's by planting economic forests in a suitable place and with suitable trees in the Ningxia wolfberry area.
