Stage22 Cocktail Menu Introduces Bold Asian Flavors

Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga Latvia - Restaurant

Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga invites guests to celebrate the summer season with the launch of an entirely new cocktail menu at Stage22 Bar & Restaurant, the hotel’s celebrated rooftop destination overlooking the city skyline. The new menu marks a significant evolution in the Stage22 cocktail experience — one defined by restraint, precision and a deep appreciation for Asian culinary traditions.

With 15 years of industry experience, Bar Manager Marks Solomko applies a philosophy shaped by the principles of Asian cuisine, where the smallest details complete the overall experience. Proportions, consistency, glassware and temperature are approached with the same precision found in a fine dining kitchen. The result is a cocktail menu where every element is intentional, yet effortlessly balanced.

“The cocktail should never compete with the meal. It should be a quiet presence, but one entirely defined by the quality within the glass,” says Solomko. “The purposeful mixology behind the new menu was designed for guests to settle into at any hour and discover something perfectly suited to the moment.”

The new menu strikes a refined balance between familiarity and exploration. Well-loved classics are thoughtfully reinterpreted through Asian influences. The classic Espresso Martini is reimagined with tequila in place of vodka, while a delicate Lychee Martini captures both the elegance and subtlety of the ingredient itself.

These approachable signature serves are complemented by more adventurous creations, including a Cognac and Earl Grey cocktail, alongside innovative compositions that transform unexpected ingredients — such as wagyu, nori and shiitake mushroom — into liquid form through meticulous in-house preparation techniques.

Alongside its Asian influences, the menu also pays tribute to its Latvian surroundings through the use of locally inspired ingredients, including gooseberries and aloe, which lend a distinct regional character to several cocktails.

Three meticulously crafted non-alcoholic cocktails complete the offering, each designed to deliver the full sophistication of the cocktail experience without compromise. Conceived with all moments of the day in mind, the menu spans a wide range of strengths and flavour profiles suitable for morning, afternoon or evening occasions.

Recognised as a celebrated lifestyle destination, Stage22 Bar & Restaurant has received several prestigious accolades, including a 3-Star Accreditation by The World of Fine Wine, a White Star from the Star Wine List, recognition at the 2025 Baltic Wine and Drinks Awards and a distinguished recommendation for Japanese cuisine in the 2026 Michelin Guide.

Located in the heart of Riga, the rooftop terrace offers breathtaking views of the city skyline and the Latvian National Opera House. For reservations, please contact +371 6767 0122 or [email protected]. See more photos here.
