Riga, 13 September 2024 – Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga is delighted to announce the grand opening of promising new artist Dāvids Jānis Baumanis art exhibition ‘Freedom’, which was unveiled on 12 September 2024. The event welcomed art enthusiasts, influencers and distinguished media representatives for an exclusive evening of artistic excellence.
The exhibition took place in the refined setting of the hotel’s elegant lobby lounge, where an atmosphere of sophistication and warmth greeted each guest. Throughout the evening, the artist graciously introduced attendees to his exceptional works, offering rare, intimate insights into his creative journey. Guests were treated to an exclusive glimpse into the inspirations behind his art and the refined techniques he employs to bring his paintings to life.
Dāvids draws much of his inspiration from nature, surrendering to the moment, freeing his mind, and immersing himself in the act of creation without limitations or preconceived notions. As Dāvids himself explains, ‘The painting process for me is like a meditative journey. My works come to life through the playful exploration of colours, forms and textures.’
Dāvids Jānis Baumanis, a rising artist from Riga, honed his craft under the guidance of various esteemed art instructors, yet it was only in 2020 that he fully embraced painting. In the span of just four years, Dāvids has created approximately 100 masterpieces, many of which have found their way to discerning collectors across the globe, including countries such as Canada, the Czech Republic, Germany and beyond. His work continues to captivate international audiences, solidifying his place in the world of contemporary art.
The exhibition ‘Freedom’ will be on display at Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga until the end of January 2025. Visitors to the exhibition also have the unique opportunity to purchase the showcased paintings, making a visit to this exhibition a must for art enthusiasts and collectors alike.
