Grand Hotel Kempinski Gets Awarded as Slovakia's Leading Hotel 2022

Štrbské Pleso, October 4, 2022 – According to the World Travel Awards, the best hotel in Slovakia can be found in the High Tatras. Travellers and experts from the tourism industry have decided that this year's awards will go to Grand Hotel Kempinski. In addition, its Presidential Suite was awarded as the best suite in the country.

Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras won in two categories – Slovakia's Leading Hotel 2022 and Slovakia's Leading Hotel Suite 2022. "The greatest recognition of our work is satisfied guests, but receiving an award from the expert jury of the World Travel Awards makes us very happy, and at the same time, it is a commitment for us, responsibility and motivation for further work," says Kathrin Noll, general manager of Grand Hotel Kempinski High Tatras. As she further described, the fairy-tale hotel on the shore of Štrbské Pleso will win you over with its atmosphere and elegant, spacious and comfortable rooms and suites. "Guests staying in our Presidential Suite will enjoy relaxing in two wings with two living rooms, two bedrooms and bathrooms, spread over 186 sq m (2002 sq ft). The apartment also has its own lift and building entrance, making it an ideal location for anyone looking for complete privacy," explains Kathrin Noll.

The luxurious atmosphere of the presidential suite is completed with original furniture from international designers. The apartment has a kitchenette, the ceiling is decorated with Murano chandeliers, and the walls are complemented with paintings made exclusively for this apartment. In addition to the V4 summit and world-class conferences being held here, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan and legends of the Slovak and Czech film and music scene have also found their temporary accommodation here in the past. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, and singer Bryan Adams also visited the hotel.

The hotel is already preparing for the beginning of the autumn tourist season, when the High Tatras will be dressed in autumn colours. As the weather gets more stable, it is an ideal time for hiking and walking. After time spent in nature, guests can enjoy the warmth of the hotel's fireplace, culinary specialities prepared by chef Miroslav Zamiška, and relaxation in the most beautiful spa in Slovakia with an unrivalled view of Štrbské Pleso and the High Tatras peaks.
