Enjoy popular winter sports such as alpine skiing, cross-country skiing or snowboarding. You are in the ideal place to do so – a cross-country skiing trail begins almost on our doorstep. The Strbske Pleso resort for downhill skiing is within a hand’s reach, while Tatranska Lomnica, with slopes for beginners and advanced skiers, is a short drive away. You will love having the pistes so close, especially if you decide to be among the first to ski in the morning. A unique experience called Fresh Track is offered here, which includes skiing on untouched “corduroy” in the privacy of a small group. A complimentary hotel ski shuttle to the lifts and back is available for our guests to ensure your maximum comfort.

While staying at our hotel, you may rent wooden sledges at our reception to emphasise the winter fairytale atmosphere. If you don’t feel like riding down the hill, tell your partner or kids to make themselves comfortable on the sledge and take a family photo on a frozen lake to remember your most beautiful winter moments. 

Or would you like to experience something unusual and adrenalin-pumping, almost like an adventure beyond the Arctic Circle? Our hotel concierge will be happy to help you arrange a snowmobile ride or even a dog sledge trip. Or how about a snowshoeing tour with a mountain guide like a real Eskimo? 

While alpine hiking trails in the High Tatras are closed from 1 November until 14 June, all except one alpine chalet and trails leading to them remain open. We recommend visiting tarns Popradske pleso, Skalnate pleso or Zamkovsky’s chalet. The Tatra Temple of Ice in Hrebienok is the largest winter attraction in the region, and every year, there are also incredible sculptures carved from pure ice by artists from around the world that can be admired in its vicinity.
