Within the majestic setting of Çırağan Palace, the acclaimed Tuğra Restaurant, celebrated for blending Ottoman and Turkish culinary heritage with contemporary finesse, continues to enrich iftar gatherings with an exceptional gastronomic tradition for the duration of Ramadan. Highlighted in the Michelin Guide recommended list, recognized for service excellence, and awarded three toques in the ‘Outstanding Tables’ category by Gault&Millau, Tuğra invites its guests to a distinguished culinary experience with its extensive iftar menu.

The iftar experience commences with traditional iftariyelik selections, embodying the essential elements of Ramadan gatherings. Culinary highlights include sahine, Antep olive piyaz, lentil fava, muhammara, olive oil platter, gavurdağı salad, charcuterie platter, honey and clotted cream. Guests continue with Çeşm-i Nigar soup, expertly prepared with Mardin red lentils and mint-infused butter, followed by warm starters such as cabbage dolma with sumac yoghurt, paçanga börek, içli köfte and pideli köfte. Main courses feature revered classics: Hünkâr Beğendi, an iconic Palace recipe; lamb shank served with keşkek, defined by its delicate texture and careful slow cooking; and tas kebabı with mashed potatoes, which combines time-honoured traditions and contemporary elegance. Freshly baked pide from the Palace patisserie completes each table throughout iftar.

To conclude the evening, a selection of desserts awaits: kazandibi, güllaç, helva, kalburabastı, revani, bread kadayıf with clotted cream, baked rice pudding, quince dessert and hand-rolled pistachio baklavas, all individually served and meticulously crafted by Gaziantep baklava masters in the Palace’s baklava room. Guests may also select preferred desserts from a dedicated dessert buffet, featuring exclusively house-made delicacies.
