ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE (16 SEPTEMBER 2026) – The Bosphorus Cup will be held for the 25th time from 17–19 September 2026, with teams from Türkiye and abroad coming together for three days of racing in Istanbul. The Bosphorus Race will take place on 19 September, while Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul will host a VIP Race Viewing Party and the awards ceremony that same evening.

Founded in 2002 by Turkish national sailor Orhan Gorbon, the Bosphorus Cup has grown into an established fixture on Istanbul’s sporting calendar. Over the past 25 years, the event has brought teams from Türkiye and around the world to the city, with its signature race taking place on the Bosphorus.

Racing will begin off the coast of Caddebostan on Thursday, 17 September, before continuing around the Princes’ Islands on Friday, 18 September. On Saturday, 19 September, the highly anticipated Bosphorus Race will see sailing boats compete on the Istanbul Bosphorus.

VIP Race Watching Party at Çırağan Palace Kempinski

The Bosphorus Race will also be celebrated at the VIP Race Watching Party at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul on 19 September. Set on the shores of the Istanbul Bosphorus, the hotel will provide guests with an exclusive vantage point from which to watch the sailing competition while enjoying the distinctive atmosphere of the palace.

The Bosphorus Cup’s 25th anniversary programme will conclude with the awards ceremony at the hotel later that evening. Tickets for the VIP Race Watching Party are available through Biletix and the official Bosphorus Cup website.
