From the Eagle's Nest, which is at an altitude of 1,824 m, you can enjoy a breath-taking view over the entire region and the mountain panorama. The house was completed in 1938 and is one of the few surviving buildings from the Third Reich. Find out more about the dark history of Germany on site. Since 1952, the Eagle's Nest has been a mountain restaurant. Between May and the end of October, buses leave via Kehlsteinstraße from the car park of Obersalzberg, weather permitting. The Obersalzberg car park is just a few minutes' walk away.
