Originally from Italy, Chef Andrea Rumere is our new Italian Chef and the culinary lead to Via Roma. Boasting a rich international background and knowledge into the fine Italian cuisine, his unique taste and approach to dishes bring out the origins of the same. Creating new dishes, caterings and events are his forte.

We are more than thrilled and looking forward to experiencing Chef Andrea's debut into the culinary family!

The Kempinski Hotel Beijing can't hide the excitement for the arrival of the Trattoria La Gondola restaurant's new chef de cuisine Francesco Sanna, who was born with a gift for preparing authentic Italian cuisine. Chef Sanna started his culinary career in Italy from 1996. Prior to joining Kempinski Hotel Beijing, Chef Sanna has worked in several five-star hotels as Italian Chef such as Ritz-Carlton and Sheraton.Growing up in a very famous pizza-addicting country provided Chef Sanna with many exciting pairing ideas and through his experience of working at numerous luxury properties, he has always pushed the boundaries of Italian cuisine.
In his new role, Chef Sanna will be in charge of the operation of the culinary team at Tratorria La Gondola. With 17 years of industry experience, Chef Sanna has acquired extensive knowledge and skills to competently lead the kitchen team and further contribute to the success of the hotel.
