Amidst the marvellous mountains around St.Moritz, the organisators expect 200 to 250 Lamborghinis, as well as 400 to 450 enthusiastic (delighted) participants.

The spectacular windsurfing and kitesurfing regatta takes place in july on Lake Silvaplana, as does the Engadine windsurfing marathon, the largest and most traditional event of its type.

 

In the early days of kitesurfing there were only a few surfers who came to Silvaplana. However, the number of enthusiastic exponents increases significantly each year.

 

Beginners are immediately thrilled by the feeling of surfing on a board with a kite. On a beautiful “Maloja day“ up to one hundred kitesurfers cavort on the lake. Events such as Engadinwind.com with the Kitesurf World Cup have made Lake Silvaplana world famous among kitesurfers.

This top-class event brings together a number of rare motor cars as well as aeroplanes – including the legendary Super Constellation.

The British Classic Car Meeting (BCCM) is held very successfully every summer in the middle of July and will be improved by other events for classic cars and big motorcycles.

 

More than 160 select top-class Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin & Lagonda, Jaguar & Daimler and Austin Healey classic cars go on many trips through the chic of St. Moritz.

The Festival takes jazz back to its roots - to the club.

 

Jazz enthusiasts are treated to an inimitable club atmosphere; the direct proximity to the artists and their music – each concert is limited to just 150 spectators - offers an absolutely unique experience at 1,900 m above sea level. Equally spectacular is the venue; the private Dracula Club will be opening its doors exclusively for the Festival da Jazz.

The alpinathlon is a combination of sport, adventure, team spirit and pushing the boundaries. In a team – women, men and mixed – or on your own, you can conquer mountain and valley, hiking trails and areas of the High Alps, both summer and winter; in the disciplines of mountain biking, running and bicycle racing. Today St. Moritz is the equine sports centre of the Alps. Horse jumping shows (“Concours Hippique”) and polo events take place here in both summer and winter. The many stables offer the horses every comfort and the riding tracks are well-maintained.

 

In the soon-to-be 100 year old equine sports centre on the shores of Lake St. Moritz just about every riding desire can be fulfilled.

What was launched under the guidance of the Engadine Cavalry and Riding Club is still in existence today. The traditional Concours Hippique horse show has become an integral part of the calendars of all equine sports fans.

 

The occasion takes place every year on the second weekend in August next to the golf course in Zuoz.

The 31st Engadine Summer Run (Sils – Bever 27km) and the 15th Muragl Run (Pontresina - Bever 10.5 km)

 

The appeal of this running event lies in the unique and unforgettable scenery. The run has ups and downs of 240m over its 27km course from Sils to Bever, past the lakes of Upper Engadine. The course is mainly on natural tracks and there are seven refreshment stations to replenish lost energy.

The Engadiner Kulturtage (Engadin Cultural Festival) is a unique combination of nature, culture and art.

During 10 days this culture event offers a wide range of culture and music highlights in St. Moritz and the Engadin - in churches, galleries, public places, in the mountains, at the lakes.

The Nationalpark Bike-Marathon is THE biking event in the national park region.

 

The marathon goes once around the whole Swiss national park and through parts of the Italian Stelvio national park. It is marked by unmistakeable scenery in the border areas of Italy and Switzerland.

A unique spectacle close to the public and with live commentary! From 31. August - 05. September Engadine will be the centre of the sailing world. At the St. Moritz Match Race 2010 the elite will sail for prizes and points on Lake St. Moritz.

 

Exciting duels on the water. Match racing is certainly one of the most exciting competitions in sailing. Two teams compete directly against each other. Participants and teams from crews from the America’s Cup such as Alinghi, New Zealand etc. New Zealand etc.
