Visas:
The hassle and inconvenience of visa applications can be stressful. Fortunately, travellers do not require a visa to enter the Seychelles. However a valid Travel Authorisation is required on arrival. Read more about the Seychelles’ entry requirements here.
Connectivity:
With more and more international airlines flying to the Seychelles, it is easier than ever to reach this remote island. Connections between the inner islands by ferry and plane are easily arranged, allowing for unique island-hopping experiences that you’re unlikely to experience elsewhere in the world. While other Indian Ocean destinations, such as the Maldives and Mauritius, are certainly very beautiful, they do not offer the opportunity to easily visit other islands; each with its own character, culture and attractions.
Endless Summer:
The Seychelles’ tropical climate makes it a perfect year-round destination for sun worshipers and beach lovers. The temperature rarely drops below 24°C / 75.2°F or rises above 32°C / 89.6°F. The Seychelles does not have any conventional seasons; however, the weather does vary depending on the prevailing trade winds.
Safety:
The Seychelles is politically stable and safe for tourists to visit. The Seychelles has one of the lowest crime rates in Africa, and violent crimes are extremely rare. However, opportunistic misdemeanours, such as bag snatching and petty theft occasionally occur and travelers are advised to take the usual precautions with their personal possessions when exploring outside of the resort. Despite this, the Seychelles is considered safe for all tourists, including honeymooners, families and solo travelers.
Enjoy temperatures of 24 – 32 °C year-round in Baie Lazare. April to May and October to November offer mirror-like seas. From June to September, the trade winds bring refreshing breezes, while December to March sees Mount Kempinski turn lush and green.
Our Lady in Red team can arrange bespoke island experiences, from secluded picnics on pristine beaches and guided tropical nature walks to snorkelling adventures, scenic helicopter flights and cultural tours in Victoria.
Kempinski Seychelles Resort is approximately 24 km (14.9 miles), or a scenic 30-minute drive, from Seychelles International Airport.
Seychelles offers a welcoming environment for families, while the resort features the Kempinski Kids Club and Les Petits Lazariens Adventure Garden, offering engaging, nature-focused outdoor activities for younger guests.
For an authentic local shopping experience, guests can visit Victoria to explore the vibrant Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market, boutique craft shops and local art galleries across the island.
