Kempinski Hotel The Dome, which received an award from Golf Magazine in 2012 in the category of "Best Golf Hotel in Europe", hosted the 8th International Kempinski Pro-Am Golf Tournament between 3 and 9 February, 2013. Each domestic and foreign professional golfer competed with three amateur golfers on their team.
Kempinski Hotel The Dome has direct access to the Antalya Golf Club and offers unique facilities to golf lovers and amateur players. The hotel welcomed famous professional golfers to the 8th Pro-Am, which took place at the PGA Sultan and Pasha golf courses.
A total of 28 teams joined the tournament, with players hailing from Turkey, Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Russia, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy. All teams consisted of one PROfessional and three AMateurs.
On the evening of 9 February, there was a glorious gala dinner in the hotel’s Karatay Ballroom. The winners of the tournaments were announced at the gala dinner. In the professionals category, Simon Edwards of Wales won the tournament by shooting a one-under par and 213 total. Second place went to Chris Baron, with a four over total. Jonathan Fransson finished two shots back from Baron for third, closing his tournament with a five-over and a total of 219. The most thrilling scores of the tournament were in the teams category. Pro Chris Baron’s team of Joachim Muller, Nicola Just and Andreas Martin won with a total score of 165. Second place went to pro Hakan Yamac and his team and third place went to pro Jamaes Ferraby and his team. A total of EUR 27,000 was awarded to the winners of the professionals categories. The winners of Amateurs categories were awarded with trophies and gifts.
