While at Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square, don’t miss the chance to taste our signature drink – Fallen Apple – a subtle balance of the best alcoholic beverages and local ingredients. An apple in Lithuania is a common ingredient that leads to the creation of some interesting dishes and drinks. Many artisan farmers prepare fresh apple juice and wine, and one of the most delicious and interesting Lithuanian specialities is the apple cheese known as ‘Obuolių sūris’.
Here at Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square, apples are the main ingredient to our signature cocktail, the Fallen Apple:
- 3 cl Stumbras Organic Vodka,
- 3 cl Lithuanian "Midus",
- 2 cl lime juice,
- 120 cl freshly squeezed apple juice
Our signature drink is almost 100% local, made from local alcoholic beverages and one of the most popular fruits in Lithuania – apples. Mead is the oldest alcoholic beverage in the world, but Lithuanian mead is exceptional not for its history, but for its unique taste. Genuine Lithuanian mead is only about 12% strong and has an inimitable smoothness to its flavour. The balsam made from mead has an alcohol concentration that reaches as high as 75%! Matured according to ancient recipes that are held in secret, mead is an important ingredient needed to perfect the taste of the Fallen Apple cocktail.
The Fallen Apple is served every day at La Salon Bar and Lounge.
