Wedding at Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius

A special venue for the best occasion
Wedding at Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius

Speak the most important ‘Yes’ in a legendary place in the very heart of Vilnius Old Town. Legend has it that in the times of Duke Šventaragis, the part of town where the building is belonged to the valley where dukes were cremated according to the pagan rituals and a perpetual fire was burnt in the honour of God Perkūnas. In the forest at the same place, Grand Duke Gediminas had a dream where the iron wolf was howling, and that prophetic dream inspired the idea to set up the town. In time and with the adoption of Christianity, the pagan fire was changed with the altar of the Christian Cathedral. The most luxurious and elegant hotel in Vilnius, Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius, was established just a few steps away from the Vilnius Cathedral. Built in the 1900s, the property is rich with history. Although it was originally created as a hotel, throughout the years the building has transformed and changed, as it was influenced by the intense changes history brought to Vilnius and Lithuania. After many years of being used as the Central Telegraph of Vilnius, the neoclassical building was carefully renovated with a special effort made to reflect and preserve the building’s historical roots, abundantly decorated facade, the neo-Baroque cupolas on the roof and the balconies. Currently surrounded by plenty of churches, the hotel has become a dream-come-true, romantic venue for newlyweds. Here, spouses can be sure that every single detail of their special day will be thought over and their dreams will be realised.
