Sabrage Ritual

“Bubbles! In victory one deserves it; in defeat one needs it,” Napoleon, it is believed, once said. At Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius, start your weekend breakfast as a special occasion and a true victory. Every Saturday and Sunday at 12:00, your breakfast will be enriched with sparkling wine and a “weekend breakfast sabrage” – a special technique of opening a sparkling wine bottle with a sabre, dating back to Napoleon times. It flourished during the times of spectacular victories across Europe, giving people plenty of reason to celebrate. Now it has become tradition at Grand Hotel Kempinski Vilnius during our weekend breakfast – a true special occasion!

Time: Every Saturday and Sunday, 12:00pm.
Place: Restaurant Telegrafas
