Set on a private island in the heart of the Venetian lagoon, San Clemente Palace Kempinski is enveloped in a magical atmosphere. Natural splendor and a tangible sense of history distinguish the hotel's one-of-a-kind venues.
San Clemente Church & Sacristy
Offering a magnificent Romanesque facade, elaborate interior details and matchless views of the lagoon, the beautifully preserved San Clemente Church is an infinitely romantic place to exchange vows. The setting, which has witnessed almost 900 years of the Venetian history, accommodates up to 150 people for customised symbolic ceremonies.
Intimate dinners and cocktail parties for up to 20 guests are held in the adjoining Sacristy which opens to a courtyard where the bride and groom can welcome guests while sipping champagne.
The island's lavish gardens provide breathtaking and versatile backdrops for wedding celebrations. The deliciously private Lido Garden accommodates up to 500 guests, while the Central Garden offers a lively setting for a cocktail reception for up to 700 persons. Fairy-tale weddings come to life in the idyllic Mediterranean atmosphere of the Natural Garden, where up to 180 guests can dine beneath cypress and lime trees. Located next to the island's historic church, the San Clemente Garden elevates cocktail receptions and dinners with views of Venice and the setting sun. All four gardens may be used simultaneously.
The hotel's expansive terraces are equally impressive. Situated in front of the church, the Acquerello Terrace opens to the lagoon and offer majestic views of the sunset and Venice skyline. Accented with graceful statues and paved with Masegni stone, the terrace is an exquisite stage for ceremonies, receptions and dinner for up to 300 guests. Newlyweds can embark their own honeymoon from a nearby pier.
Evoking the monastic heritage of San Clemente Island, the hotel's picturesque courtyards are available for wedding ceremonies, receptions and seated affairs. Featuring distinctive Venetian architecture and detailing, these atmospheric outdoor venues are private, intimate and exceptionally elegant.
Dotted with stately cypress, magnolia and pine trees, the island's centuries-old park provides over six hectares of outstanding natural beauty, including three hills overlooking the lagoon. From this vantage point, the vivid colours of the sunset and gorgeous views of the city on the horizon lend a heightened sense of romance to private wedding ceremonies.
The hotel offers variety of indoor settings for wedding celebrations. Both Acquerello and Isieme restaurants feature elegant dining rooms. The Oriente Room, with its refined chinoiserie-style decor, can host up to 90 guests. The hotel also has a large venue that can serve as a ballroom for an evening of dinner, drinks and dancing for up to 300 guests.
