Teatro La Fenice

Local Information
Teatro La Fenice

Destroyed by fire in 1996, the Fenice Opera House reopened in 2003, beautifully restored to its former glory. This historic theatre is one of the greatest Italian temples of bel canto, attracting national and international audiences. La Fenice Opera House's rich programme of events includes performances of opera, classical ballet, symphony and theatre.

Visitors can attend one of the frequent performances at the opera house, or simply choose to take a guided tour around the building. The rococo decor, glittering with gold leaf and huge chandeliers make this an essential place to visit on your trip to the city.

It is easily accessible, situated in the heart of Venice, only 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco.
