Historical weaving mill with original looms of the 18th century. Luxury fabric and cushion store on the Grand Canal. Unique boutique with exclusive bags and accessories.
The company, founded in 1875 by Luigi Bevilacqua and still property of the Bevilacqua family, is located in Venice on the Grand Canal and produces and distributes handmade fabrics using its own looms of the XVIIIth century. This production joins their modern power loom collection, made with their own looms as well, offering the finest result in the world of fabrics with beautiful velvets, damasks, lampas, satins and brocatelles. The fabrics have been used for the decoration of the White House, the Vatican, the Royal Palace of Kuwait, Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires and in hundreds of museums, churches, palaces, private and public houses all over the world. The great charm of Bevilacqua fabrics has always inspired not only interior designers and decorators, but also fashion designers. The designs come from their historical archives, composed of about 3500 designs which styles go from the XIIIth to the XXth century; the customers can choose from the collections or can pick a particular design from the archives that can be reproduced both handmade and machine made. Of course it is possible to realize special designs and colours on request. Bevilacqua produces also a flame retardant line; a top production realized with Trevira or kanecaron yarn mixed with silk, that gives to the final products an inimitable beauty.
Recently the boutique has added to the collections also a bags and pillows line, entirely realized in Italy.
